Skiing, Boarding & Snowshoeing

Mount Baker, near the Cascade Loop, is the highest peak in the North Cascades and holds the record for the heaviest seasonal snowfall in the US! In the 1998 season, Mount Baker received an amazing 95 feet of snow! While the entire Cascade Loop is NOT going to get 95 feet of snow, it does get enough to have a ball. Whether you like to downhill ski, snowboard or snowshoe, there's plenty of snow to have winter fun all the way around the Loop.

When the Winter Ski Season is underway, there are several ski areas to choose from for downhill skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing. Just be sure to check conditions as you plan your trip!
