Photographs, maps, pioneer diaries, oral accounts, and historic items from the museum's collection are just a few of the things that will educate visitors about Whidbey and take them from the early days of settlement to the present day of mass transit and the internet. Mini "rooms" have been created within the museum using furniture and other items from the collection which have not been seen by the public for a very long time. Some of the areas to be highlighted are Clinton, Maxwelton, Bayview, Langley, Freeland, Greenbank, Coupeville, San de Fuca, Oak Harbor, and Deception Pass.
