Penn Cove Musselfest

Musselfest is a celebration of the world famous Penn Cove Mussels. Guest chefs, great tastings, and lots of fun for the food enthusiast. There's a lot to do, so come celebrate the bold, briny, and blue!

- **Mussel Mingle** (Friday & Saturday evening; ticketed events) - Enjoy the sounds of Ike and the Old Man while sipping on wines, beers, and ciders from local purveyors, tickets include food choice of Mussels, French Dip or Vegan Dip. You also receive 2 drink tokens with your ticket purchase. 

- Saturday & Sunday will be packed with activities, including:

- **Live Music & Dancing in the Blue Zone** All day music from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm,  Beer Garden (21+) featuring local Beer, Wine, Cider, and N/A beverages featured.

-**Live Music throughout the historic downtown** 

 - **Penn Cove Mussel Raft Boat Tours** Enjoy a 45-minute boat tour to see the mussel rafts where mussels are grown and harvested daily (ticket required) 

- **Chowder Tasting Contest** Sample a variety of mussel chowders, showcasing local chefs’ culinary creativity (ticket required)

**Chef Demonstrations** Learn from the experts with live cooking demos, highlighting new and traditional mussel recipes, in Rec Hall at 11:30am, 2:00pm (free)

  - **Mussel Tussle** Competitive cooking event where two chefs battle it out to create the most innovative mussel dish; 12:30 pm Saturday & Sunday (free)

  - **Mussel Eating Contest** Participants compete to be the first to consume three full cups of Mussels; $10 to be a participant; register day of in Rec Hall, 3:15pm Saturday and Sunday

  - **Local Food Vendors** Enjoy a range of local foods, from sweet treats to savory snacks throughout the downtown historic district

  - **Kids' Activities** Fishing off the Pier; arts and crafts activities designed to entertain and educate the younger festival-goers; story time, mermaids and a climbing wall (free)

- **Treasure Hunt** Explore Coupeville’s unique shops, to find the mermaid; once you find all the mermaids you can claim your prize.
